I would highly recommend using PODS for local and cross-country moving and storage. I used PODS to store my belongings and then move them across four states. Everything arrived in one piece and exactly as packed. From the person I booked everything with on the phone to the delivery driver to the person who picked up the empty container, everyone was lovely and incredibly professional. I will use PODS for any future moving needs.

Very easy to set up. Great price for not having to drive your stuff across town or another state. PODS was excellent helping set up the move and changing dates around. It's also nice not having to balance the load inside the container, the way they pick it up. The website is easy to use as well, checking the status of the deliveries or pick-ups and changing dates.

PODS is a great solution if you are moving across town or moving out of state. It’s so easy and you have piece of mind regarding your belongings. They are safe with PODS. PODS's service was excellent from beginning to end. I used them to move cross-country. Their recommendation for local movers to pack the containers was great. PODS customer service was able to reschedule delivery multiple times for me. It worked out great, being able to store my items until my house was complete. Great experience for our long-distance move. We watched the PODS video on how to pack the unit, and that turned out well; we packed so much into the PODS unit, and nothing got damaged. I liked having plenty of time to pack it. We hired local movers to help us unpack it so we could return it within a month. Excellent customer service by phone, and the drivers we met were excellent, very helpful and experts at maneuvering the Podzilla. We enjoyed watching Podzilla in action, brilliant system!

I used PODS storage to store our garage items while we had new drywall and insulation installed. They were very easy to book and reschedule. The drivers were very careful when dropping off the container and explained how everything worked. Overall it was a very easy and positive experience and would use again!

Absolutely the best service for moving possible!!!! The rates were cheaper than a UHaul and only about $50-60 more for the month than storage that I looked at. I love the fact that they bring it to you, move it, and then come remove it. It makes moving so much easier!!!! The drivers were all respectful and considerate of the yard/house/items near the location. I kept it for about 1.5 months before moving and it made moving soooooooo much easier!!!!

The most positive aspect was: I moved from Florida to New York State and stored my possessions for two months before delivery. All staff encountered were friendly and efficient in both states. PODS containers were delivered and picked up on time. When I called to clarify the charges, everything was explained clearly. No complaints. I highly recommend PODS for moving and storage and would definitely use them again.

As we traveled for over 2 years we put our possessions in a PODS container. The process of delivery and pick up were so easy. When we had our POD delivered, everything was perfect. Since the container was stored in a temperature controlled storage nothing was broken, warped, or messed up. Again delivery & pick up was easy. Highly recommend!!!

How much does a Chicago PODS storage container cost?
PODS pricing for storage units starts at $149 per month. Delivery and pick-up fees average $74.99. In most cases, delivery and pick-up charges can be waived depending on the duration of your container rental.

How long can you store your stuff in a PODS storage unit?
With PODS, all storage rentals are on a month-to-month basis. Whether you’re keeping the container on your property or at a PODS Storage Center, you can keep your container for as long or as little as you like. Unlike other storage and moving companies, there are no rigid schedules with PODS. Plans change. Just call us.
What can’t be stored in a PODS container?
Hazardous materials such as toxic chemicals, gas, liquids, substance, material or waste, lawn mowers, motorized vehicles and illegal items cannot be placed in a PODS Container.
We also recommend that heirlooms, irreplaceable artifacts, deeds, legal notices, forms of currency and items that are not your personal property are not placed in the Container. Refer to your rental agreement for additional restrictions on what cannot be stored in the Container.
HUMAN OR ANIMAL HABITATION IS ALSO SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITED.

How does PODS billing work?
PODS storage rent is due on the day the container is delivered and continues from the same date on a monthly billing cycle thereafter until you are finished using the container. We accept all major credit cards and automatic payment (Canada does not accept Discover or ACH as a method of payment). You can also access your account and make payments online.
