With the stunning Sierra Nevada Mountains so close by, the views of the high desert and towering mountains are spectacular at sunrise and sunset. You can ski all winter long, and have fun in the summer in the numerous lakes that dot the mountains. There are also plenty of opportunities for water activities with the Truckee River running through Reno.

With a population of more than 200,000 people, Reno's employment is primarily through the local casinos. However, more and more start-up and high-growth companies are moving into the area, bringing jobs from the tech industry with them. 

Neighborhoods are diverse in this rapidly-growing city. If you’d like to move to the center of Reno, then the Old Northwest-West University area is perfect. This area has a country western with plenty of music venues, casinos, restaurants, and shopping nearby. 

The Midtown neighborhood is filled with young people from eclectic backgrounds and interests. This area is especially desirable if you don't have a car. Many of the people who live here bike to work and walk to the funky coffee shops, art galleries, and cool thrift stores. For a more rural feel, Lemmon Valley-Golden Valley sits on the northern side of Reno and is a good choice for families with children who are looking to purchase an affordable home with space for the kids to play.
